Terms and Conditions


1. General Overview

By using our services or purchasing products, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before engaging in any transaction.

Kuruman Radiators specializes in the repair, cleaning, and sale of radiators, intercoolers, oil coolers, and batteries. These terms govern your interactions with our business, particularly regarding product warranties and our battery return policy.


2. Warranty Terms


2.1. General Warranty

Kuruman Radiators offers a limited warranty for new products purchased through our company.

  • Radiators, Intercoolers, and Oil Coolers: New units carry a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects only.
  • Batteries: Batteries come with a manufacturer-backed warranty of up to 25 months, depending on the brand.

Warranty Conditions:

  • To activate the battery warranty, the customer must scan the QR code on the battery at the time of purchase to register their battery for the warranty period. Failure to register the battery using the QR code will result in the warranty being void.
  • The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser with proof of purchase (receipt or invoice).
  • The warranty covers manufacturing defects and workmanship but excludes wear and tear, improper usage, or external damage.

Exclusions:
The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by mishandling, accidents, or negligence.
  • Improper installation or maintenance.
  • Failure due to unrelated mechanical issues (e.g., cooling system leaks).
  • Non-original modifications to the unit.
  • Repairs attempted by unauthorized service providers.


2.2. Repaired Units Warranty

Repaired radiators, intercoolers, oil coolers, and condensers do not come with a warranty.

  • No-Warranty Clause: Kuruman Radiators will not be liable for any costs, damages, or losses incurred should the unit fail after repair. We always recommend installing a new unit to ensure long-term reliability.

3. Battery Return Policy


3.1. Return Eligibility

  • Batteries must be returned within 7 days of purchase for a refund or replacement, provided they are unused, undamaged, unmarked and accompanied by the original receipt.
  • Used batteries must be returned within the warranty period for inspection and testing to qualify for replacement.
  • Once a battery has been marked and installed in your vehicle, it cannot be returned or exchanged for a different size. This policy ensures the integrity and proper functioning of the battery in your vehicle, as well as fairness in our service practices.
  • If a battery is returned after sale with markings on it, Kuruman Radiators reserves the right to charge a R300 handling fee to resell the item. This fee covers administrative and inspection costs.


3.2. Inspection Process

  • All returned batteries will undergo a diagnostic test to determine the internal state of charge, defects, or issues.
  • If the battery is found to be defective due to manufacturing faults, a replacement will be issued.
  • Batteries showing signs of overcharging, undercharging, or damage from improper installation will not be eligible for warranty replacement.


3.3. Non-Returnable Items

  • Batteries damaged by negligence, accidents, or environmental exposure (e.g., water, extreme heat).
  • Batteries without original proof of purchase or warranty card.
  • Batteries that have been marked and installed in a vehicle, as they are no longer eligible for return or exchange.


3.4. Important Advisory

We strongly advise confirming the correct battery size and specifications for your vehicle before installation. Our team is always available to assist you in selecting the appropriate battery to suit your needs.



4. Liability Disclaimer


Kuruman Radiators is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from product failure, repair delays, or other circumstances.

  • Advice Disclaimer: All recommendations provided by our team are based on industry knowledge and expertise but are not guarantees of success or performance.
  • Use of Products: Customers are responsible for ensuring the proper installation, usage, and maintenance of products purchased from Kuruman Radiators.



5. Payment and Refund Policy

All payments are due upon completion of service or product delivery. Refunds for eligible returns will be processed within 14 business days after approval.




Radiators Warranty Policy

At Kuruman Radiators, we are committed to providing high-quality products and services. Our warranty ensures peace of mind for our valued customers. Below are the specific terms of our warranty:


Warranty Coverage

  1. Steel Core Radiators: 3-month warranty from the date of purchase.
  2. Aluminium Radiators: 6-month warranty from the date of purchase.
  3. Car Batteries: 25-month warranty from the date of purchase.
  4. Grommets: 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.


Exclusions

  • Pecking Gasket Radiators: No warranty is provided for pecking gasket radiators found to have been exposed to the sun, dried due to environmental elements, or improperly stored.
  • Improper Use or Installation: Damage caused by mishandling, improper installation, or unauthorized repairs will void the warranty.
  • Normal Wear and Tear: The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or cosmetic damages.


Terms and Conditions

  • Warranty claims require proof of purchase (receipt or invoice).
  • Kuruman Radiators will, at its discretion, repair or replace defective products within the warranty period.
  • Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
